Adding a UET Tag ID
After the module installation, you should add your Microsoft Advertising UET tag ID. You can set it in the the menu "Website" - "Configuration" - "Settings" by activating the "Microsoft UET Tag" option and specifying your Tad ID.

Getting the Microsoft Universal Event Tracking Tag
By following these steps, you can create your UET Tag and retrieve this tag ID.

Open your Microsoft Advertising account and in the "Conversions" section, choose the "UET tag" menu. Click on the "Create" and fill in your UET tag name in the next window. After completing, click on "Save and next".

On the following step, select a tag installation option "Install the tag yourself" and continue by clicking the "Next".

Testing Particularities

Since the Microsoft Universal Event Tracking Tag script should not send data about the activity of internal users on the website, there are some tips for testing:

  • You will not see the UET Tag script if you are logged in to Odoo and you have internal user's access rights.
  • Log out from the system or use the incognito mode or other browser to test the UET Tag script.
