Configuration
Adding a tracking ID
Go to the "Website" - "Configuration" - "Settings" menu and activate the "Facebook Pixel" option. Then enter Tracking ID.

Apply the changes. The Facebook Pixel will be activated on all pages of your website.
Cookie Consent Settings
You can specify a default consent value for new visitors to your website.

The cookie consent for Facebook tracking is revoked by default for new visitors to the website, in case, when the Consent Manager is set to Odoo Cookie Bar and you have activated the "Facebook Pixel - Consent is Revoked (by default)" option. Otherwise, when Consent Manager is "None", a consent is granted always.

Odoo Cookie Types
Odoo Cookie Bar has two types of cookies - Required Cookies, which are always set because they are necessary for the website to function properly. To allow only this type of cookie, the visitor should click "Only essentials".
And Optional Cookies that consent to the use of other types of cookies. Optional Cookies will be allowed when the visitor clicks on "I agree".

If your website visitor has allowed all cookies on the Odoo Cookie Bar, the Pixel script will have a corresponding consent directive.

Testing Particularities

As the Meta Pixel script does not have to send tracking data about a website activity of internal users, there are several testing tips:

  • You will not see the Meta Pixel script if you are logged in to Odoo and you have internal user's access rights.
  • Log out from the system or use the incognito mode or other browser to test Pixel script.
